BOOMBOX

A little bit of house, blues, funk, rock and a whole lot of soul blast through BOOMBOX.

Electronic rock duo BoomBox, consisting of brothers Zion Rock Godchaux and Kinsman MacKay bring heavy organic grooves and soulful beats that penetrate through the dancefloor, and on to all facets of the human experience. Founded in Muscle Shoals, AL in 2004 by singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Zion Rock Godchaux, BoomBox has grown and evolved alongside loyal fans across the globe. At the same time, the San Francisco Bay Area native stays true to the vibrations that have been moving bodies on the dancefloor since the beginning.

DIRTWIRE

Dirtwire stands poised between ancient Mother Earth and modern technology, a blend of ethnomusicology and the psychedelic trance state, gut-bucket delta blues and what the band variously dubs “back-porch space cowboy blues, swamptronica, and electro-twang.” It’s a sound informed by Dirtwire’s travels and performances around the globe, where East meets West and North joins South. From the favelas in Brazil, Femi Kuti’s Shrine in Lagos, Tokyo’s bluegrass clubs, Ayahuasca ceremonies in Central America, Gamelan performances in Bali, desert festivals in the Australian Outback, and the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s modernized new capital Astana, the band spreads its message by building bridges across musical cultures in their own unique way.

Desert Dwellers

Desert Dwellers combine the raw sounds of the natural world, wrapped in dance-floor and chill-out productions; blending deep bass, earthy percussion, etheric voices, and cross-cultural instrumentation into a sonic incense for the mind and body.

Their label Desert Trax has become a platform to spotlight similar alchemical artists, resulting in the Beatport#1 selling electronica album BREATH. Desert Dwellers’ studio output is matched only by their extensive touring history, which juxtaposes performances at America’s most iconic venues like Red Rocks, festivals like Symbiosis, Lightning in a Bottle, Burning Man, and Coachella, with high-powered sets at the biggest trance festivals around the world; BOOM in Portugal and Rainbow Serpent in Australia.

Fort Knox 5

Fort Knox Five is known for bending genres and using a broad range of musical elements in their creation of highly original music. This approach ultimately pioneered a funky scene where FK5 continues to top charts today.

While FK5 compose music like a band in the studio with live instrumentation blended into electronic music, they are renowned for their exciting and eclectic DJ performances. With founding member Steve Raskin as the principal DJ and frontman for the group, these sets have proven to be irresistible to club goers worldwide, rocking parties with infectious grooves that effortlessly move from funk, bass, and hip hop to prime time house and breaks.

SunSquabi

Since 2015, SunSquabi has brought their unique blend of live electronic funk to audiences around the world. Along the way, they’ve sold out venues coast-to-coast and performed three unforgettable Red Rocks shows, capturing one in their release, SunSquabi (Live at Red Rocks). Collaborations with artists like The String Cheese Incident, Late Night Radio, Lettuce, and GRiZ have only expanded their creative horizons.

SunSquabi’s latest work reflects their journey and resilience. The Cloudburst EP and the upcoming Grind EP continue to embody the band’s commitment to creating an uplifting, groovy, and soulful experience. In the end, SunSquabi’s mission remains the same: to elevate spirits and encourage listeners to rise above any obstacles in their path.

Izzy Wise is a dynamic multi-instrumentalist and DJ, renowned for his eclectic dance music that seamlessly traverses the musical and cultural landscapes of planet earth. His versatility extends to playing bass and horns in various groups, exploring genres as diverse as Turkish, Balkan, Cumbia, Brazilian, Salsa, Funk, and more. In live performances, Wise incorporates a variety of instruments, infusing his sets with an energetic and hypnotic blend of funky underground ethnomusicology.
