Getting Here & Around

Getting Here & Around

Getting Here: Fly to either Managua, Nicaragua (MGA) or Liberia, Costa Rica (LIB), both about a 2.5 hour drive to San Juan del Sur. MGA is preferred with no additional border crossing, but LIB is fine if you can get better flights to it.

Airport-to-fest shuttles (recommended): TreeCasa will run frequent door-to-door airport shuttles during Sanctuary from MGA and LIB to San Juan del Sur and TreeCasa. Can be reserved for an additional charge after flights are booked. Shuttle bookings will begin in December.

Other DIY options: MGA – taxi or car rental. LIB – CR taxi to border, hail another taxi on Nica side. No cross-border car rental. CR border open 6am to 10pm.

Getting Around: Once in town, local taxis are inexpensive and plentiful, car & atv rentals available, and TreeCasa runs frequent free shuttles from the Resort to town and will offer transport for festival excursions like surf trips, catamaran rides, etc.

Vision & Vibe

TreeCasa Nicaragua was built with the intention of connecting curious travelers to each other and to the splendor of the surrounding jungle. The giant twin-Cieba tree platform at its center overlooks the main soundstage for Sanctuary @ TreeCasa, where you and your friends old and new will get down to the sounds of internationally-acclaimed live DJs and bands. This will be an intimate festival, in the hundreds not thousands so you will get to know your tribe over the three days.

Beyond the music, your days will be filled with adventures in the beach and jungle, socializing by the pool or in town nearby, and unique health and wellness experiences. If you like Burning Man, Envision Costa Rica, Lighting in a Bottle or anywhere where music, creativity and connection come together, you’ll love Sanctuary!
